Natalie Setareh began her makeup artistry career a few shorts years after leaving a career as a successful officer in the United States Air Force after feeling unfulfilled and uninspired in the careerwoman she was becoming.
In 2014, she packed away her combat boots and picked up her makeup brushes and started a freelance makeup artistry business in Monterey Bay, California.
Early on in her career, clients would ask if she offered makeup lessons. "Never saying no," Natalie figured out how-to teach makeup to those who were never formally taught how to wear makeup in an approachable, easy-to-understand, and practical way.
In 2019, feeling inspired after a business retreat, Natalie gathered all the notes, outlines, presentation, and tips she gave accumulated over the years and began working with a book designer who could make Natalie's daydreams a reality.

I've taken extreme care to keep all the copy in the book gender, race, and age neutral. I've also wanted to keep the price as affordable as possible while still delivering world-class makeup education. Why? Because makeup is for everyone.
I wrote this book because of the extreme lack of unbiased, easy-to-understand and implement makeup education. If you are looking for technical makeup education, this book is not it.
Let's not get started with the amount of waste the $532B industry produces. We must be educated consumers, which not only protects our hard-earned income and time but also the environment. This book helps you save more of both.
